Sustainability is a fundamental foundation for us and personally we think that the only way forward, is to be kind to our earth and all people involved in Schulz by Crowd.
We have a sustainable focus in all stages of the production process -from our choice of fabrics, the ways they are processed, dyed and sewn, into the design process which also has a sustainable angle
The design is timeless and made to last. We value craftmanship and put a lot of effort in-to the development of each style.
We select quality natural or sustainable materials such as organic GOTS certified cotton or 100% silk. We have consciously selected the fabrics to ensure that they can last for a long time with the proper treatment
We only cooperate with good factories that share the same values as us and we never compromise on working conditions. To ensure that, we work with the Danish consulting company Sourcing House who provides us with suppliers. All our suppliers must sign our Code of Conduct before we start working with them.
Furthermore, we also believe that less clothing is more sustainable. Overproduction and the resulting mass of unsold clothes is a significant issue that the fashion industry currently faces. That’s why we take pride in designing our seasonal collections with limited stock - we want to make sure that each item finds the right owner and isn’t left behind on the rack.
We have also launched a circular recycling concept Pre-Loved where you can hand in your old Schulz by Crowd item so it can be loved by a new owner (read more)
For us there is always room for improvement and in our quest to be more sustainable we are constantly required to think creatively to find alternative solutions – it’s a challenge we particularly enjoy.
Take a small detail such as buttons for example: to reduce the use of plastic in our collections, we decided to swap the plastic buttons for ones made from seashells (read more). To make sure we constantly develop in a more sustainable way, we work after a five-year-plan on our journey to be more sustainable.
There is a plethora of clothing brands available on the market, but we believe that you want to wear something more than just a beautiful garment – you want to represent a community, a set of values and to be a part of a sustainable journey that, hopefully in the long run, will change the industry.
Thanks for taking this journey with us!
